About The Event

Join us at our live introduction to Arthritis CPD update late Summer 2024 with on-demand tickets available (to watch back later if you were unable to join us live).

We'll provide an opportunity for any medical professional, to explore and further their expertise on how to diagnose arthridites. Discussing the difference between non-inflammatory arthritis, we’ll also present the several different types of arthritis, providing their target approach diagrams. We’ll include unknown cases that we will analyse using the concepts learned in the previous talks. 

The session will be conducted by Dr Dennis K. Bielecki, Diagnostic Radiologist with a a specialist in Musculoskeletal Imaging. With over 30 years of experience in bone and joint radiology, Dr. Bielecki is a Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Specialist Radiologist at King's College Hospital, one of the UK's leading academic and research hospitals. He is also a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Imaging Sciences at King's College London, where he teaches and trains the future generation of radiologists, medical students, and radiographers. Dr. Bielecki trained in diagnostic imaging in the United States.

Day 1 – Monday- 2nd September

9.00am- Register

9.15-9.30am - Welcomes/ Intro

9.30-10.20am – Lecture 1

  • Become familiar with the radiographic findings in the common arthridites, overview of each finding and its appearance
  • Learn in detail the “index diseases” osteoarthrosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Better understand the target approach to diagnosis of arthritis in the most common conditions that are seen clinically.
  • Become more confident in the radiographic diagnosis of arthritis.

10.20-11.10am - Lecture 2

  • Discuss several different types of arthritis, provide their target approach diagrams, and show you multiple images.
  • Covers juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, erosive osteoarthritis, septic arthritis, the spondyloarthropathies, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis, and gout.

11.10-11.20am - Break

11.20-12.10am – Lecture 3

  • Discuss calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystal deposition disease, scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, sarcoid, neuropathic arthritis, hemophila, CRMO, SAPHO syndrome.

12.10-1.10pm – Case Review

1.10-1.25pm - Q&A

1.25- 1.30 pm - Feedback & Close

ACCREDITATION: 4 CPD/CME Credits can be claimed in accordance with the CPD Scheme of The Royal College of Radiologists.
