Cardiac MRI for Radiographers Course

This two-day Cardiac MRI for Radiographers Course is ideal for Diagnostic Radiographers looking to (and currently specialising in) Cardiac MRI. Join us online (live on zoom) as we present our unique two-day hybrid CMR for Radiographers event this Spring.

Day 1 will be a basic overview of CMR and suitable for those with limited experience whilst also acting as a refresher for those who have not had formal CMR training. Starting with slice positioning, Electrophysiology and basic CMR Physics, we'll review Non-Ischaemic Cardiomyopathy, Aortic Imaging/coronaries and Non-contrast angiography. In addition, we'll cover Basic troubleshooting and you'll gain hands-on experience accessing our Corsmed Virtual MRI simulator.

Day 2 takes you one step further in mastering Cardiac MRI and is designed for more advanced/experienced Radiographers. You'll cover more complex physics including Perfusion, Parallel imaging, Compressed Sense and

4D flow, and take a look at Post Processing. We'll then review Congenital imaging cases in-depth and consider actions attaining to the unexpected congenital patient, looking at shunt calculations, Systemic RV and Uni-ventricular heart. Our afternoon session will then present seminars on Tumours, masses and Pericardial Disease, How to do stress CMR,  Ischaemic cardiomyopathies and Image Optimisation/ Scanning CIED’s. We'll end the day looking at a range of cases using the Corsmed Virtual MRI simulator to give you more hands-on experience. 

Led by Clinical Lead Radiographer Alison Fletcher, the course will also be delivered by members of our experienced Cardiac MRI Level 1 Course for Radiologists course faculty with experts joining us from Papworth, University of Cambridge and Oxford.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: For the Corsmed MRI Simulator session during the course, you will be required to have access to a PC laptop in order to log in to the Corsmed online simulator. If you are attending the course in-person please bring a laptop with you.
