Learn from experts from the UK and Australia on this unique Nuclear Medicine update. You’ll gain experience and knowledge from a range of Oncology PET-CT Imaging cases whilst also touching upon the role of PET-CT in Therapy, PET-CT in Neuroendocrine Imaging, Neurological imaging (dementia), Cardiac imaging, and Infection/Inflammation Imaging.
The format consists of two days of knowledge-share, and PET scan cases, relating to Oncological imaging, led by Dr Randeep Kulshrestha (Clinical Director Radiology & Trust Lead for Nuclear Medicine at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust). This is then followed by an exciting final day, with renowned National and International speakers who’ll share the latest research and future developments.
Day 1 covers the Fundamentals of PET-CT, basic physics & scanning technique whilst considering Patient preparation and scanning. We then review cases and update in relation to PET-CT in Lung cancer, Upper GI malignancy, Lower GI malignancy, Head & Neck malignancy and PET-CT in Lymphoma. We also provide a Physics of PET-CT session with Dr Ian Armstrong, Principal Physicist, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT Centre, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, before finishing off the day with some Clinical Cases.
Day 2 kicks off with detailed presentations on PET-CT in Melanoma and Myeloma, before moving into Utility of PET-CT in infection/inflammation imaging with Prof Nat Lenzo, University of Western Australia, Founding Director of Cyclowest, Clinical Director GenesisCare. We then have a specialist session on Paediatric PET-CT with Dr Diana Rosof-Williams, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust before reviewing a range of Clinical Cases for our early afternoon session. We then host UK experts, Dr Neil Soneji and Prof Tara Barwick from Imperial, London, who present on Breast & Gynae malignancy before finishing off the day with a special seminar on Cardiac PET with Dr Parthiban Arumugam, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Day 3 has a special focus on Prostate Cancer and Neuroendocrine Malignancy, with Australian expert Prof Nat Lenzo, University of Western Australia presenting on Gallium PSMA and gallium DOTATATE scanning in addition to an update on 18F-PSMA PET/CT in Prostate cancer considerations when setting-up locally. We also consider Ga-68 PET/CT in Therapy Response before moving into an afternoon of PET MR Clinical considerations and the use of Future Tracers in PET/CT (led by Assoc Prof Patrick Veit-Haibach, Toronto). To finish the day we also look at PET-CT in Dementia with Prof Sabin Dizdaravic, Lead Consultant in Nuclear Medicine, Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
