About The Event

Join us  for a unique 5 day Cardiac MRI course covering both Level 1 SCMR with an opportunity to review over 70 cases hands-on using a workstation to increase your confidence and expetise in diagnosing Ischaemic heart disease, Cardiomyopathies, and Congenital cases. This mini-fellowship is ideal for Radiology and Cardiology professionals and trainees looking to commence their journey as a Cardiac MRI specialist.

Starting of with a two-day Cardiac MRI Level 1 Course (leading to SCMR accreditation), Clinical Leads – Dr Bobby Agrawal (Consultant Cardiac and Thoracic Radiologist at Papworth) and Co-Director, Dr Vass Vassiliou (Senior Clinical Lecturer in Cardiovascular Medicine and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Norwich Medical School), will provide the chance to learn a range of imaging techniques to improve your diagnosis.

Covering MRI safety and MRI Contrast agents, through to CMR of Cardiac masses and tumors, Aortic, Vascular and Valvular Disease, and Non- Ischaemic/Ischaemic Cardiomyopathy, you'll review a range of cases across Paediatric and congenital heart disease, right through to Stress Imaging and Assessing RV and LV Function.

For the remaining three days, we'll provide you with hands-on experience in reviewing and reporting Cardiac MRI cases using SuiteHEART software on our workstation-based course (21-23 June). Developed to prepare you for your journey towards SCMR and EACVI level 2 certification, Clinical Lead – Dr Jason Dungu (Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), will take you through a CMR physics and sequences summary, volumes and reporting, before moving on to a range of Ischaemic heart disease cases (Stress, Viability and Acute). We'll then focus on Congenital cases in addition to Cardiomyopathies, and we'll finish off the course reviewing Valves/Vascular, Pericardial disease/masses, and Incidental findings.

Supported by Neosoft, you'll gain hands-on experience using suiteHEART software providing fully automated segmentation via preprocessing for function, flow, and myocardial characterization. Take a look at suiteHEART in action on YouTube here.
