About The Event

Join our New Zealand / Australia Cardiac CT Level 1/2 Course as we bring our five-day, hands-on course to the region for Cardiologists and Radiologists

Overseen by Course Director and Level 3 accredited BSCI (British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging) trainer Dr Azhar Khokhar (Consultant Cardiologist, Head of Cardiovascular Imaging, Essex Cardiothoracic Centre), the faculty includes a mixture of Consultant Cardiologists and Radiologists all with BSCI accreditation.

The full course follows the BSCI guidelines for Level 2 accreditation, and over 5 days will include formal lectures and hands-on training and analysis of a total of 150 contrast enhanced cases, including coronary analysis of various pathologies, bypass grafting and extra cardiac findings etc, as required by the BSCI. Complemented by formal lectures, you will cover all relevant topics and examples of rare and interesting cases shown.

After completion of the course, you will be expected to perform and dual report 25 cases in your local settings before applying for level II accreditation.

For this course, there will be a maximum of 2 attendees per workstation (supported by CardIQ Function Xpress by GE Healthcare), and we will keep the numbers attending in-person to a maximum of 24 to increase learning potential and allow you to feel comfortable with asking questions in the small intimate group setting. As a result, early booking is essential. Each candidate will have the opportunity to see live scanning.

LEVEL 1 COURSE DETAILS

Cardiac CT Level 1 attendees will just attend the first 3 days fo the course (Mon - Weds ) in order to complete the 50 cases required for Level 1. You will cover additional cases on top of the 50 needed to provide as much opportunity to learn from a wide variety of cases as possible.

18 CPD Credits can be claimed in accordance with the CPD Scheme of The Royal College of Radiologists

LEVEL 2 COURSE COURSE DETAILS

If you are looking to gain your BSCI Level 2 certification and be confident in reporting Cardiac CT independently, this Level 2 course if perfect for you. This course also contributes towards the 200 cases required by SCCT but please do check the SCCT accreditation guidelines for further information on their specific requirements.
